I'm just a puddle of joy
My name is Nishant Kothary. I live in Redmond, WA with my wife, Pita, and our cats, Izzy & Mango. I am a User Experience Evangelist at Microsoft. I’m not going to try to explain exactly what I do because that varies from day to day: building sample applications, working with product teams, speaking at conferences, traveling to meet Microsoft’s partners and customers, and a whole slew of other things. The common strain between all my responsibilities is UX, and everything I do ties back to evangelizing its role, nature and importance. I believe that UX is the most powerful differentiator between software products and services, and Microsoft pays me to explore, evangelize and execute that belief. I’m the quintessential “Kid in a candy store”. Needless to say, this is my personal blog. In other words, these are my opinions. My employer is kind enough to let me have them, so if you read something that bothers you or tickles you, bestow me with blame or credit.
